Job Title: Mainframe Developer (TAMDEM)

Description: -5 - 10+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology

-5-10+ years of experience with large mainframe applications having knowledge in areas as COBOL, VSAM, DB2, JCL, CICS, IMS, Mainframe Assembler, EasyTrieve, CA7

-Tandem experience Prognosis, Control-M, Systems/OS, TAL and Cobol

-3+ years of experience leading application teams ranging from 4 to 5 resources.

-Extensive experience with change management, implementation planning and release management.

-Not required but a plus: Understanding of the credit card processing, real-time point-of-sale authorization processing, and VISA/Master Card Associations.

-Good oral and written communication skills.

-Strong problem solving and analytical skills

-Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.



On a day-to-day basis, you'll be expected to:

-Application Change Management

-Decision making and approval of all changes, assess risk/benefit, and coordinate with Service Delivery Managers and Chase business teams communication and timing.

-Perform hands on triage and break fix (level 2 and 3 support), adhoc reporting, code walk-thrus, and core processing internal wellness checks.

-Perform Daily Production Monitoring and Reporting

-Participate in Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis and High Risk reviews

-Participate in Testing, Implementation Planning and Execution of complex applications

-Develop error free, highly efficient code that complies with all code standards and methodologies.

-Work with the project managers and business clients to understand and provide signoff to business requirements documents.

-Provide first and second call level production support for the suite of applications and participate on a rotating on-call production support schedule.

-Provide technical and programming support and mentoring to Application Developers.

-Participate in Application Developer and peer code reviews.

-Support changes/applications post implementation by debugging, fixing, and participating in maintenance releases as needed.
