Description Programmer (Summer Intern) 12-14 weeks HealthCore, a health outcomes and clinical research company in Wilmington, DE, seeks a Programmer/Analyst Intern to join our dynamic, rapidly growing company. HealthCore performs a broad spectrum of health outcomes research, ranging from traditional claims-based retrospective analyses to large-scale, prospective, naturalistic studies. Founded in 1995, HealthCore continues to focus on providing the health care system and the pharmaceutical industry with naturalistic "real-life" data on various pharmaceutical products and medical devices in a variety of patient populations. Responsibilities: * The Intern is expected to work on analysis / design and implementation of strategic development projects as well as the maintenance / extension of our existing applications. * Develop enhancements to the Automated Data Development Plan * Perform ad-hoc queries and provide customized reports using SQL or SAS

Qualifications Requirements: * Current enrollment in a 4yr College/University with a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related major. * Proficiency in EITHER MS SQL or SAS 9.1. * SQL skills should include Transact-SQL language and experience using MS SQL Server 2000 and 2005, including use of query analyzer, stored procedures, and DTS. Knowledge of SQL Server 2005 Integration Services and Reporting Services preferred. * SAS skills should include: Base SAS data step programming, macro facility, and Proc SQL. * Ability to plan, organize, and work on multiple tasks simultaneously and in multidisciplinary teams * Ability to operate independently with a minimum of supervision is required although IT staff will communicate frequently regarding progress of assignments * Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues. * Team player with good organizational and communication skills HealthCore offers a dynamic work environment and paid parking.
