Responsibilities/accountabilities: Deliver high-quality applications, multiple releases, own unit testing!*! Skills: Required: * Experience with the development of large and complex client-server or thin-client applications. * Software development experience in the trading, brokerage, or financial services industries. * Very strong C++ programming skills with a minimum of 5 years of professional development experience. * An in-depth understanding and experience of STL, RogueWave, or similar class libraries. * An in-depth understanding and experience of concurrent programming in a multi-thread environment. * An in-depth understanding and experience of communications programming, including TCP/IP sockets. * An in-depth understanding and experience of programming in the Windows NT/2000 environment. * Good communication skills required to communicate with both technical and non-technical members. * GUI and Server-side development experience. Pluses: * Experience with XML, including related schema and transform languages. * Development experience on any type of trading system (blotters, position / risk management, etc.), especially electronic trading systems. * Requisite experience with software configuration management tools. CVS is preferred. * Knowledge of relational databases and transaction-processing systems. * Experience with scripting languages (PERL) is preferred.
