QVCs IT division has a fast-paced, exciting opportunity for a talented Web Developer for our Applications Development  group at our Studio Park corporate headquarters in West Chester, PA.

The successful candidate will support the e-commerce Internet Web application and create new or revise complex existing application program software for diverse platforms, using provided detailed specifications, technologies, and tools.

Other responsibilities include:
• Under limited direction, develops new or revised computer programs, ensuring code is maintainable, supportable, performs upon implementation, and meets design specifications.
• Develops technical specifications.
• Translates functional design into coding specifications that meet the business, technical, and operability requirements.
• Debugs applications and offers solutions.
• Responds to and resolves production problems as assigned.
• Prepares test plan and data, executes test plan, and reports results.
• Updates specification, test plan documentation, and life cycle documentation as required.
• Maintains knowledge on technologies and testing techniques employed within own area.
• Provides coaching and direction to junior level programmers and estimates work where appropriate.
• Participates in on-call rotation for production systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, certificate from an accredited association preferred, or equivalent training and experience.
• 5+ yrs overall IT experience.
• 3+ yrs applications development experience.
• Proficiency in either C# ASP.Net or J2EE development is required (C++, PERL, JSP, XML, XSLT, ASP, SQL, Javascript, HTML is a plus).
• Knowledge of Web Development, AJAX, Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, Software Development Life Cycle, Agile, or requirements analyis/documentation a plus.
• Knowledge of business functions preferred.
